Project Overview
The Anti-Hate Project by the Bilal Community and Family Centre (BCFC) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at reducing hate, racism, and religious discrimination. This program combines online advocacy and education with ground level community organizing, to raise awareness of the growing climate of hate, build united coalitions against hate, and educate vulnerable communities on the available rights and protections they have as Canadians.
Key Components:
2025 Interfaith Anti-Hate Conference: A diverse multi-faith coalition (Black, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Sikh, Indigenous, and other minority communities) coming together to discuss shared concerns about increased hate and discrimination and form a working group to tackle it head on. Through ongoing collaboration and advocacy, we hope to effectively combat the root causes of rising hate. Along with conference, BCFC is bringing together faith leaders to brainstorm and discuss how faith can contribute to combatting hate and to build a united coalition against hate.
