We wrapped up our 2026 summer youth program with a ceremony to celebrate our staff`s hard work, the rewarding moments we had with the kids, and our impact on the community. Beyond providing a positive environment for the community, this summer was an intense crash course in leadership and adaptability for our team. Navigating the daily energy of the youth taught our staff more about communication, crisis management, and real-world problem solving than any textbook ever could, and it left us feeling fully prepared for the professional world.
We also want to give a massive thank you to asmazad_enterprises for providing our transportation all summer. We truly appreciate their help with planning, preparing, and organizing the buses every single time we had to go somewhere.
As we wrap up August and bring our 2026 Summer Youth Program to a close, we are reflecting on an incredible month of learning. While the kids had a blast playing, our focus leaned heavily into meaningful education to help them build critical thinking, confidence, and real life skills. Our staff had an absolute blast interacting, educating, and playing alongside every single child this summer.
The real reason we took our youth from a peaceful prairie field straight to an aviation hangar was to expand their horizons.
By exploring our natural history at the Living Prairie Museum and diving into cutting-edge science at the Royal Aviation Museum, our kids are discovering the world from different perspectives. These hands-on outings do more than teach history and physics—they build essential personal skills, spark team problem-solving, and help our youth form deep social connections. Every field trip is another step toward building a true sense of belonging in our community!
The real reason we gave our girls a completely separate day was to build a space where they could truly focus on their own growth. Our girls got a day dedicated entirely to them, building a strong sisterhood and personal skills through sports like volleyball and basketball.
Meanwhile, our younger youth took over the Winnipeg Children`s Museum becoming train conductors, exploring water physics, and solving problems through hands-on play. By creating spaces tailored just for them, our youth are developing deep social connections and a true sense of belonging!
Most people think our farm trip was just about petting animals and eating pizza. But the truth is, we brought our youth here to step completely outside of their comfort zones.
By facing new environments and trying new things, our kids learned to problem-solve, build real-life skills, and grow closer as a team. Every single laugh, challenge, and pizza slice helped them form deeper friendships and build a true sense of belonging!
Hate divides. Youth unite. Join us for a powerful Youth Conference where young voices come together to challenge hate, celebrate diversity, and build a future rooted in respect, empathy, and peace.
Together, we can turn conversations into action and differences into strength.
Art day was an absolute blast! Our kids sparked their creativity by crafting custom kites, the girls created beautiful designs on canvas, and everyone wrapped up the day playing out on the playground. 🎨🪁✨
Beyond the fun, it was about personal growth. Working on these projects helped our youth build essential life skills, express themselves, and form deeper social connections with one another, strengthening their true sense of belonging in our program! 💖🙌
What an unforgettable month! From exploring The Leaf, playing soccer at the Recplex, and splashing in water zones, to making kites at Art City, visiting the farm, and learning from local firefighters and police, our kids did it all. 🚒🚓🌱
Beyond the fun, these trips helped our youth build essential life skills, form deep social connections, and develop a true sense of belonging. Thank you to everyone who made these past two months such an empowering experience for our future leaders! ❤️🙌
This week, our older kids took over the playground, cooled down in the splash zone, and wrapped up the day with a high-powered soccer match. While these outings are the highlight of their week, every game and splash serves a much bigger purpose. 💦⚽
By stepping outside the routine, our youth are developing essential personal skills like teamwork, leadership, and communication. These shared moments create space for meaningful social interactions, helping them forge lifelong friendships and build a deep sense of belonging within our program. 📈❤️We aren’t just creating fun summer memories; we are investing in their personal growth and community connection every single week!
This week`s outing was the absolute highlight of the summer so far for our younger kids! They had the ultimate blast cooling off in the splash zone and running around the playgrounds and water zones. The pure excitement on their faces said it all—and the best part is, even more adventures await them! 🏖️✨
Meanwhile, our older youth stepped up to a brilliant challenge. They participated in an engaging educational session, working in teams to brainstorm and then confidently present their ideas in front of the whole group! 🎤📝From water-filled laughter to inspiring leadership skills, our youth look forward to this day every single week!
Today, our Summer Youth Program split up for some tailored activities. Our younger kids participated in an important, gentle informational session learning about safe boundaries and good touch/bad touch. Meanwhile, the older kids took over the outdoors—fueling their energy with hopscotch, skipping, basketball, and football! 🏀🏈We wrapped up the perfect day by coming together to share a wonderful lunch. It is an outing our kids look forward to every single week, balancing vital life lessons with pure childhood joy!
This week’s Summer Youth Program outing was packed with non-stop energy, sportsmanship, and big smiles. We kicked off the fun playing out on the Masjid grounds before heading over to the Recplex for some high-powered soccer matches on the turf!
⚽🔥Seeing the children connect, stay active, and build friendships is truly the best part of our week. They count down the days until this outing, and it never disappoints! 🙌❤️
A day packed with non-stop play, endless energy, and bright smiles! 🏰✨
Today, our Summer Youth Program kids took over Kid City, Winnipeg’s ultimate indoor play center! They spent hours exploring the massive three-level play structure, challenging each other in the laser maze, shooting hoops on the sports court, and bouncing around. To top off an already perfect day, everyone fueled up with some absolutely delicious pizza for lunch! 🍕🎉
✨Today, our Summer Youth Program had the pleasure of hosting a local firefighter for an incredible safety presentation. 🚒 He taught the children essential fire prevention tips in a fun, interactive way and spoke about their turnout gear and emergency vehicle.
We are incredibly grateful to this community hero for taking the time to inspire our kids and teach them how to stay safe. Moments like these truly build a stronger, more confident neighborhood! 🚒❤️
A day filled with learning, curiosity, and smiles! 💙
Our children in the Summer Youth Program had a wonderful opportunity to interact with members of the Police service, who shared valuable lessons on personal safety in a fun and engaging way. They also got an exciting tour of the police vehicles, making the experience both educational and memorable.
We are grateful to our Police officers for taking the time to inspire, educate, and connect with our children. Together, we`re helping build safer, more confident communities—one child at a time. 🚓✨
We had an amazing field trip to the Royal Aviation Museum ✈️ The kids learned so much, had a blast, and loved getting to see all the cool planes.
