The most inspiring part of BCFC work is empowering people particularly youth to believe in their talents, recognize their strengths and pursue their passion. As someone who left his family in early age for education, and struggled, I can relate to some of the challenges that youth are going through. I thank BCFC leadership team, Kadar, Sultan, Board of Directors, our employees, volunteers, and our community members for making it possible.
Muhiadin Omar
Executive Director
Most of our employees are youth who primarily belong to lower income families living in downtown Winnipeg with less employment opportunities. Thus, our programs play a vital role in helping youth become thriving and productive citizens of the community. It also provides a sense of belonging and community which prevents youth from falling into negative relationships and friendships.
